How to determine the correct collar size for your dog
A proper collar fit is important for your dog’s comfort, health, and safety – it should not be loose enough to slip over your dog’s head, nor be so tight as to restrict breathing or cause coughing.
- Measure the circumference of their neck, a few inches down from their head.
- Make sure the cloth tape measure is snug but not tight to be sure of the correct measurement.
- Your dog’s measured neck size must fit within the collar’s adjustable length range.
- Make sure there’s enough room for about two fingers between the collar and your dog’s neck for comfort.
